Boosting Information Security, Fujitsu Shows Tablet Computer Recognizing Human Palmprints

Fujitsu brought a tablet computer that can recognize the palmprint of the human body at the CeBIT exhibition in Hanover. Fujitsu announced this technology as early as last year, but has not exhibited physical prototypes. The tablet computer exhibited this time is still a prototype of the development and design stage, equipped with a 10-inch display, the shell material is plastic and magnesium alloy, and a small sensor is installed on the side of the fuselage. Users only need to put their palms on the sensor, the system can automatically scan and identify-this can greatly improve the security of the information in the device and effectively prevent others from using it.

Fujitsu has not yet announced the name, price and launch date of the tablet, but said it will be the first to land in the Japanese market, and then is scheduled to land in Europe in June. Because this tablet focuses on security features, the market positioning is mainly for enterprise users.
