Huawei helps Zhejiang build a 5G city with more than 100 5G test sites

5G has come, carrying the first. The 5G bearer network is equivalent to the 5G end-to-end highway, which is an important cornerstone of the entire 5G industrialization process. Many leading operators around the world have put the 5G bearer network construction on the agenda, and have started related key technology research, verification and testing. In March, Huawei helped Zhejiang Mobile to build the first 5G end-to-end test site based on 3GPP standards in Hangzhou. On May 15th, the joint partners completed some 5G industry application scenarios. It is expected that by the end of the year, Huawei will help Zhejiang Mobile to build a micro-service core network and more than 100 5G test sites in Hangzhou, and jointly build a 5G city with industry partners.

Huawei provided a “package” core network solution for Zhejiang Mobile's 5G experimental network construction, helping Zhejiang Mobile to implement a comprehensive cloud and distributed network architecture, converged and hybrid networking capabilities, 5G service functions, and Industrial integration and other verification, and take into account the basic requirements of users from 4G to 5G do not change cards without changing the number, experience does not decline. The overall plan of the core network of Zhejiang Mobile 5G Experimental Network includes three aspects:

First, 5G technology 4G, priority for architecture verification :

1. Deploy a cloud-based platform architecture based on Layer 3 decoupling and a dual DC disaster recovery solution, unify the Cloud OS and unified operation and maintenance portals, and complete 5G network and product architecture verification;

2. Based on NFV business integration, summed up the "three-step six-step" methodology, built more than 10 intelligent tool platforms, and quickly completed system deployment, from the 18 days required for the previous business line to the 5 days after optimization;

3. NFV intelligent operation and maintenance plan, through tools, skills, knowledge base, process, four-dimensional collaborative optimization, to achieve pre-existing monitoring, recovery in the event, after-the-fact analysis, cloud business reliability reached 5 9, solved NFV The key problem of commercial use, Zhejiang Mobile NFV has already realized the commercial release of some businesses;

4. Through the 4G C/U separation pilot in Hangzhou and Wenzhou, the advanced nature of the distributed network architecture was verified. The gateway cooperated with the CDN, and the indicators of mobile HD video and VR video increased by more than 30%. Even 80% increase in congestion scenarios.

Second, 5G functions and services, users from 4G to 5G do not change cards without changing the number, experience does not decline, the network smoothly evolved from 4G to 5G:

1. Unlike the prototype solutions used in previous tests and demonstrations, the experimental network uses a 3GPP-based productization solution;

2. With 2/3/4/5G full convergence and common access as the target solution, the signaling plane is currently integrated, and the control plane, user plane, user data and policy center are gradually integrated.

3. The next phase will actively carry out the 5G NSA core network cloud and traditional equipment hybrid networking and business pilot;

4. When the SA standard is frozen, a 5G micro-service software architecture and a dynamic network slicing pilot will be conducted.

Third, personal to industry business integration :

1. Zhejiang Mobile and Huawei's joint industrial chain partners explore 5G typical innovation applications, and cut into five applications from VR/AR, telemedicine, intelligent manufacturing, low-altitude digital flight and other topics from the perspective of multi-industry applications;

2. Zhejiang Mobile, Huawei, Hikvision, Geely Automobile, and Zhejiang University Affiliated Hospital established a 5G industry alliance to jointly explore 5G industry applications such as smart security, smart medical care, and smart manufacturing.

Taking the 5G AR remote maintenance jointly demonstrated by Zhejiang Mobile and Liangfengtai Company as an example, this scenario has the characteristics of “two-way real-time interaction and auxiliary information push”, and needs to provide continuous and reliable network capability of less than 20ms. Compared with the 4G network, the 5G network, through the CUPS architecture of the core network and the air interface technology of the wireless base station, can greatly reduce the delay, provide the edge computing capability close to the service, and complete the service processing nearby. The end-to-end transmission delay can be less than 5 millisecond. Through the micro-service core network, 5G network provides on-demand and reliable network slicing, which promotes the deep integration of 5G mobile network and AR industry, and accelerates the integration of AR applications into people's lives and work.
