What kind of settings need to be made before programming Omron PLC

1. Knowledge of high-speed counting

Through the PRV instruction, the frequency of the input pulse can be read, the frequency of the high-speed counter can be measured, and the measured frequency can be output in Hz with 8 hexadecimal digits, and can only be used in the high-speed counter 0. In addition, the frequency can be measured at the same time as the comparison operation of the high-speed counter 0 is performed. Even during frequency measurement, the high-speed counter function, pulse output function, etc. are not affected.

1. High-speed counter frequency measurement steps (1) High-speed counter use/unuse setting: Set the plc system setting [High-speed counter O use/unuse] to "use". (2) Selection of counter: Set [High Speed Counter]/[Pulse Input Mode] in PLC system setting. (3) Selection of numerical range mode: select [High-speed counter O]/[Numerical range mode] in PLC system setting, and when the numerical range mode is set to ring mode, select PLC system setting [High-speed counter 0] ]/[Maximum value of ring counter]. (4) Selection of the reset method of the current value of the high-speed counter: Select the PLC system setting [High-speed counter 0]/[Reset method]. (5) Execution of PRV instruction: operand N is the serial number of the high-speed counter [high-speed counter input 0: #OO1O]; operand C is the frequency read, which is #0003; operand D is the frequency storage channel.

2. Specifications The specifications of the high-speed counter during frequency measurement are shown in the table below.

Second, the relevant knowledge of analog

In addition to software calculations, analog programming often requires some hardware settings.

Such as current signal and voltage signal selection, resolution selection, channel selection and so on.

As shown below.

According to the wiring requirements, connect the built-in analog wiring.

Then you need to set whether the analog signal is a current input or a voltage input.

The 4 DIP switches in the picture above.

The specific settings are shown in the figure below.

After the completion of these hardware aspects, you need to find the corresponding settings in the software programming interface, and set the specific settings in the software.

Such as channel selection or not, the resolution is 6000 or 12000, the range is 4-20mA or 0-5V and so on.

Only after the above related settings are correct, the related analog calculation, conversion engineering and so on can be carried out.

Otherwise, it is all in vain, no matter how well the program statement is written, it is useless.

3. Password setting â‘ Encryption

In the CX-P programming software workspace, right-click "New plc", select "Properties" - "Protection", and enter an 8-digit password in the UM read protection password, as shown in the following figure:

Then download the program to the PLC, and finally select "Protection" - "Set Password" in the "PLC" drop-down menu.

â‘¡Release:

After the CX-P software communicates with the PLC online, select "Protect" - "Release Password" in the "PLC" drop-down menu, and enter the password.

*Note:

If the programmer does not want the encrypted program to be overwritten by the program of other users, he can tick the option "Prohibit Overwriting of Protected Program" in the properties. After this operation, if you want to overwrite the program in the PLC, you need to release the password first. .
