Way of working

The LinkSwitch-XT flyback converter (Figure 1) provides 2 W of precisely regulated constant voltage output. It also meets the requirements for load efficiency and no-load power consumption in all energy efficiency standards (CEC external power supplies).

This document includes power specifications, circuit diagrams, bill of materials, transformer specifications, printed circuit board layout, and performance data.

• Patented IC design and transformer winding technology enable drain node clampless design (Clampless?)
• ±5% accuracy over-temperature protection threshold - self-recovery with hysteresis - to ensure PCB board temperature is within safe limits
• Automatic restart: protection when output short circuit and loop open loop
• IC creepage distance is greater than 3.2 mm: Prevents arcing in high humidity applications
• Easily meet all external power (EPS) energy efficiency standards
• Have sufficient margin to meet CISPR-22 Class B EMI requirements
