Description of Antenk's Slim D-Sub Connector
D-Sub Connector Slim is a space-saving D-sub Socket Connector with an 8.54mm depth. The slim 8.54mm depth reduces the board mounting area by 33% as compared with standard models. The Slim Profile D-Sub Connectoroffering includes D-sub sockets with nine right-angle DIP terminals and a mounting board thickness of either 1.6 mm or 1.0 mm (from difference in lock pin structure). RoHS compliant, Slim D-Sub Connector offers a 3A rated current, 300VAC rated voltage, and an insertion durability of 100 times within an operating temperature range of -25º to 105ºC.

The new LED drivers AS3693 and AS3694 feature optimized synchronization and timing technology to avoid costly and less optimized solutions based on standard LED driver designs. They are in line with the latest trends in LCD backlighting, which synchronizes the LCD backlight with the TV picture. The so-called local dimming means that only the required backlight segments are lit, so that the bright spots in the TV picture are very bright and the dark spots are all black. This technology helps OEMs achieve optimal picture contrast and overall power consumption.
The new LED drivers AS3693 and AS3694 also offer excellent drive accuracy of +/-0.5% to ensure accurate brightness and color matching, ahead of any existing competing device on the market. The AS3693 provides 16 high-brightness LED output channels, and the AS3694 provides 12 channels and three additional DC/DC converters. Each brightness and timing output can be independently controlled via SPI or I2C. Local dimming is supported by independent PWM generators with programmable delay, period and duty cycle to optimize a completely flicker free TV picture.
The AS3693 and AS3694's high precision LED current sources feature a wide voltage range of 50V to support long LED string configurations. In addition, integrated dedicated power control technology enables thermal and energy efficiency design. The supply voltages of the AS3693 and AS3694 high-precision LED drivers are supplied from the LED supply voltage through a built-in shunt regulator. Both devices have safety features that support thermal control and LED short and open detection.

Austrian Microelectronics will showcase these new integrated circuits at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show (CES2008) booth in Las Vegas from January 7th to 10th, 2008.
The AS3693 and AS3694 are available in a TQFP64 package and are specified for an ambient temperature range of -20° to +85°C.
