Taiwan Zhiyuan USB 3.0 Device Controller Certified by USB-IF

Taiwan's Faraday Technology announced today that its USB 3.0 device controller has passed the USB-IF official organization certification for its storage products and has obtained the USB 3.0 LOGO.

In fact, as early as five months ago, Faraday's USB 3.0 PHY physical layer has passed the official certification, and is now recognized as a complete USB 3.0 control solution, which means that it can be used for various USB 3.0 devices, including External hard disk, solid state hard disk, U disk, SoC integrated chip and so on.

In a statement, Shinohara stated that the USB 3.0 PHY physical layer and device controllers have been certified to provide a complete and reliable USB 3.0 solution, especially in the connection between the physical layer and the controller interface.

The Zhiyuan USB 3.0 device controller was certified in the USB-IF Taipei Lab in September. Compared to other solutions, it can provide a smaller number of gates and can be flexibly configured in more areas to meet the different needs of customers. Faraday also offers an ARM-compatible platform that facilitates early software development and functional evaluation for customers.

Faraday expects that USB 3.0 controllers will contribute 5-10% of the company’s total revenue this year, and may increase in the first quarter of next year.
