In other words, the standardization of the process will be an inevitable trend in the development of the semiconductor lighting industry. Second, the wafer size is small. Semiconductor lighting is now small, from 2" to 4" to 6", while semiconductors now use 12". The semiconductor wafer currently under development is almost half a meter in diameter. In an increasingly competitive situation, reducing costs is inevitable. Although there are many technical problems to be solved, the development of wafers in a large direction is a major trend. Third, the yield is low. Semiconductors have developed to almost 98% of finished products, and semiconductor lighting has only reached about 70%, causing a great waste of resources. The current improvement in yield is also dependent on the study of basic theory, and some basic theoretical research should be done under the premise of cost constraints. In addition, companies should also focus on the joint development of upstream and downstream and horizontal joint development to improve the yield of final products. Fourth, equipment utilization is low. Semiconductor lighting equipment still has great potential for development. Today's semiconductor devices can operate fully automatically and efficiently for 24 hours with virtually no maintenance. Equipment is a typical high-tech industry, and it is impossible to make a breakthrough in a year or two. Highly integrated innovations are required, and the requirements for technical strength, research and development capabilities, manufacturing capabilities, and integration capabilities are very high, and there is a need for a reserve of basic knowledge.
