The superior performance of the AS6200C makes it easier for refrigerator and data logger designers in cold-chain storage devices to meet demanding system-level accuracy requirements.

Perishable cargo storage equipment typically operates over a temperature range of -20 ° C to 10 ° C, while the AS6200C has a measurement accuracy error of only ± 0.2 ° C over this temperature range. The sensor is stable with a supply voltage range of 1.8 volts to 3.6 volts.

In temperature control and temperature recording applications, the total error budget consists of multiple components. By minimizing errors in the measurement process, the designer strives for margins for other sources of error and noise, such as the heat generated by the board components. The high-precision AS6200C gives designers the flexibility to modify other elements of the system design while keeping the total error below the specified maximum.

The AS6200C integrates a sensor front end, 12-bit analog-to-digital converter and digital logic circuitry in a small wafer-level chip scale package (WL-CSP) that provides a digital output to the main microcontroller via an I2C interface.
