Seoul Semiconductor Introduces New Product Acrich MJT2525 Leading LED Lighting Market

Seoul Semiconductor, the world's leading LED manufacturer, announced on March 24 that it has officially launched the Acrich MJT 2525, the latest product in the Acrich MJT series. The MJT 2525 can be driven from medium to high power, and its luminous flux is more than five times higher than conventional medium power LEDs, so the cost efficiency (lm/$) is also greatly improved. The MJT2525 maintains the consistent strengths of the Acrich range and is expected to lead the new landscape of the lighting market.

The MJT2525 is 2.5mm x 2.5mm compact and delivers a luminous flux of 95lm (typ.) at 40mA, second only to high-power LEDs. When making A19 bulbs, using the MJT2525 significantly reduces the number of LEDs by more than 40%, as well as the PCB (printed circuit board) size, compared to the use of existing medium power LEDs (such as the 5630). In addition, the MJT2525 uses a dome lens that is not easily used on small packages, which increases the angle of illumination by more than twofold. Designed for wide-angle lighting fixtures, the MJT2525 is ideal for small lighting fixtures such as bulbs and candle lights.

The MJT2525 is a 22V high-voltage mid-power LED that uses Acrich's multi-junction chip technology. High-voltage, low-current drives reduce component count and power supply size by up to 20%, reducing heat loss and associated costs by up to 15%. In addition, the MJT2525 can be driven in both AC and DC. Unlike high-voltage technology that uses multiple chips physically connected to a complex circuit, it integrates multiple P/N junctions on a single chip for increased reliability and design flexibility. .

Jay Kim, vice president of semiconductor lighting division in Seoul, said the new MJT2525 is an innovative addition to the Acrich range, which can reduce lighting system costs by at least 20%. Jay Kim also mentioned that because the MJT2525 has the best cost efficiency (lm/$) in the industry, it has successfully received 10 million orders before the official launch, mainly based on bulb, candle light and downlight applications.
