Shenzhen ranked first in the nation in output of LED whole production chain

Shenzhen is one of the earliest and fastest-growing cities in the semiconductor lighting industry in China. According to statistics, as of 2011, there are about 1,500 companies engaged in the research, development, production, and sales of semiconductor lighting technology and products in the city.

In 2011, the total output value of LED industry in Shenzhen was about 70 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25.9% (accounting for about 35% of the total output value of the LED industry in the country and 50% of the total output value of Guangdong Province). According to statistics, there are about 1,705 public institutions in Shenzhen.
