Beijing, March 20, 2018 – EDI CON China (Electronic Design Innovation Conference) was successfully held in Shanghai in 2017, after returning to Beijing in 2018, and the 6th Congress was held in the country on March 20-22. The conference center was held grandly. EDI CON China, which has become China's largest RF/microwave and high-speed digital conference and exhibition, brings together China's cutting-edge companies and designers from the world's leading multinational technology companies.

EDI CON China always pays attention to the needs of participants and invites Chinese and global experts to provide content that reflects evolving technology and innovation. The 2018 event included two plenary sessions with keynote speeches by experts.

The first plenary session was held today (Tuesday, March 20), focusing on the 5G topic, setting out the challenges and ongoing progress in developing the technology and infrastructure needed to bring 5G systems to market. Leading technical experts and business leaders delivered keynote speeches and shared their broad vision of the future system.

Four expert forums will provide participants with the opportunity to ask questions from industry experts. Two of the forums will answer questions about 5G, namely 5G massive MIMO and 5G millimeter wave air interface (OTA) testing. The third is the GaN Forum, and the fourth forum will discuss: Solid-state RF energy - entering the industrial market.

The highlight on Thursday, March 22 will be a short course. Eric BogaTIn, an expert from Teledyne LeCroy, who is also an editor of Signal Integrity Journal, will teach "Basic Principles of Power Integrity Measurement" in the classroom. He will focus on five of the most important measurement challenges: low noise, high bandwidth, low current loads and immunity to RF picking in the presence of large DC levels and how to overcome each of them.

Following the launch in Shanghai in 2017, the American Certification Body (ACB) will continue to hold two training courses in Beijing: ACB regulations training courses and ACB electromagnetic compatibility training courses for Chinese iNARTE members.

The creation of groundbreaking, efficient and practical products is one of the most prominent features of EDI CON China. In recognition of the contribution of manufacturers and industry to the future, EDI CON China has established an Innovation Product Award. The first prize will be presented at the exhibition site before the end of the exhibition on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. The awards are divided into five categories: components, cables and connectors; materials, PCBs and packages; semiconductors; software/EDA and test and measurement.

The technical presentations focus on applications, emerging technologies and practical engineering solutions, and the papers presented are peer-reviewed.

The seminar provides an educational forum for industry practitioners to share challenging and emerging topics related to high frequency/high speed electronic design.

The exhibition continues to attract leading companies from around the world, and some of the exhibitors will use the show as a platform to introduce the latest technology to the Chinese market.
