Turn the car "blue"

In the automotive industry, a "blue" technology not only occupies a place, but has almost become a standard, while the momentum of another "blue" technology is still weak.

In almost every car at present, Bluetooth is a very important technology, it enhances the efficiency of the car, and the cost of implementation is not high.

But Blu-ray is the opposite of Bluetooth. It does not actually increase the efficiency of the car, is of little significance, and the current cost of adopting this technology in the car is relatively high. The high resolution brought by Blu-ray is not obvious on a small screen, and watching movies on the central instrument panel can be very dangerous unless a split-screen display is used.

Cost is also an issue. The production cost of the Blu-ray player is only $ 50, but it does not include the cost of adding a high-definition screen. Nonetheless, in the future, after-sales rear seat entertainment (RSE) systems may give it a place.

Charge your battery

Wireless charging of portable devices has become a topic of great interest to the entire wireless market and automotive OEMs.

Considering the popularity of smartphones, iPods, iPads, and other products, not to mention the fact that many people often commute to and from work, so it makes sense for users to charge portable devices in the car.

iSuppli believes that wireless charging of portable devices is a potential advantage of cars, but the technology that can do this has not yet appeared.

The key is missing, it doesn't matter

Losing keys can be frustrating, and cars with keyless entry systems may also experience this problem. But what if you can use a smartphone to not only open the car, but also start the car? This idea may sound a little whimsical, but it's not entirely impossible. In fact, Valeo and Orange have shown how to achieve this at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.

The car will not fly, but there may be magical additional functions

Although none of the above technologies include teleportation, flying cars and autonomous cars, they may still be regarded as futuristic technologies. Ten years ago, who would have thought that it might be possible to start a car with a mobile phone, place a portable device on the seat and charge it, or watch a high-definition movie on a long journey? But which technologies can really find opportunities in the automotive field?

Audi is already providing an accessory for wireless charging, and this application may become more common in the next two to three years.

The possibility of large-scale popularization of the Blu-ray player in the automotive industry is the lowest among the above three technologies. ISuppli predicts that the technology's allocation rate in automobiles will be only 4-5% in 2017. By then, newer and better technologies may already be in the market.
